Climate policy

UNISON Group is active in the field of climate policy, providing science-based solutions that help reduce risks and increase countries' resilience to climate change. We adhere to international standards and best practices, developing science-based, strategic and practical solutions to combat climate change.

International agreements form the basis of climate policy, requiring countries to take active measures to reduce emissions and adapt. The Paris Agreement, the UNFCCC, the UN Agenda 2030 emphasize the need for decarbonization, climate finance and the introduction of sustainable technologies. Incorporating these principles into national strategies helps reduce climate risks and build a sustainable economy. UNISON Group has been actively participating and contributing to international climate negotiations such as the Conference of the Parties, the UN Water Decade and other national, regional and international processes since 2008, representing the interests of Kyrgyzstan both as part of the national delegation and on behalf of civil society.

Key Directions:

  • Carbon neutrality;
  • Climate finance;
  • Participation in international climate initiatives;
