The analysis of the experience gained in the field of energy efficiency of buildings in Kyrgyzstan was developed as part of the technical support provided to the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic through the Sustainable Energy Financing Program in Kyrgyzstan (KyrSEFF). The technical assistance is funded by the European Union.

The report summarizes some lessons learned that need to be taken into account both in further efforts to strengthen the implementation capacity and effectiveness of new legislation, and in identifying further opportunities for policy-making dialogue on the part of international development agencies and MDBs.
