The training on calculating the energy efficiency class of buildings has been successfully completed. On April 3, 2025, Bishkek hosted the second hybrid Training for Trainers (ToT), dedicated to calculating the energy efficiency class of buildings.
The training was attended by university professors, certified specialists in the field of energy, construction and heat engineering. As a result, they mastered the updated Excel, an energy efficiency calculation tool adapted to the climate of Kyrgyzstan, studied the EN 15316-1 standards, terminology, methods for assessing losses and efficiency of systems, and applied their knowledge to practical cases on heating, hot water, solar and photovoltaic systems.
Standard energy–efficient technologies are the minimum requirements for buildings (Class B) in Kyrgyzstan. This approach meets the best domestic practices and is aimed at modernizing buildings throughout the country.
The energy efficiency assessment methodology is based on the use of a specially developed Excel tool adapted to the climatic conditions, building codes and engineering systems of the country. This tool was updated in 2025 by a team of international and local UNISON experts, playing an important role in standardizing calculations and certifying buildings across the country.
