Narrative description/ Abstract of Project Objectives

During the project public awareness was raised on the issues energy and energy policies. Within the framework of the project, Unison assessed and evaluated energy sector management, specifically in terms of transparency and inclusiveness

Description of services provided by Unison

• Gathering of energy sector experts;
• Data collection and analysis;
• Publishing reports and papers;
• Organization of two round tables to discuss energy governance issues; and
• Organization of one Conference to present the EGI brochure

Outputs/Impact

Unison contributed to the book “Management of the Electricity Sector in Kyrgyzstan: Institutional and Practical Analysis”. The book included key recommendations for improving the quality of management and decisionmaking in the Kyrgyz energy sector.
